RSA-DR.GEORGE THOMPSON AWARD
This award is given by the N.P. RSA in memory of Dr. George Thompson.
There are two guiding principles underlying this award.
First the winner must be an all rounder. Not only must he/she be scholastically able but he/she must take part in extra-curricular activities.
Secondly, the winner should be a person who would use the prize to further their education at university level.
More specifically the terms of the award are:-
1.The winner must be in the sixth or seventh form, either a boy or girl.
2. The winner must have scholastic ability and distinct powers of Leadership. He/she should have made worthwhile contributions in sporting, cultural and organisational sides of school life.
